Update on the rescue operation

The BCRC releases this latest media briefing as early, unconfirmed reports emerge that the first boys have been successfully brought out of Tham Luang Nang Non cave.

Update for teams and media compiled 15:00h BST, Sunday 8 July 2018

The BCRC have been closely involved in the rescue effort which began today. While media reports have suggested that four boys have now been brought out of the cave from around 13:00h BST (19:00h Thai time) today, Sunday, it is for the Thai authorities to confirm these details in order to ensure that the families are properly informed and ensure that the children have the appropriate treatment after their ordeal. BCRC are continuing to support the rescue effort.
