Toby Hamnett attended the BCRC stand at Hidden Earth, Llangollen over the weekend of 26-28 September.
Toby used conversations with passing cavers, especially younger cavers of University caving clubs, to communicate two essential messages:
- That “cavers rescue cavers”. Younger cavers were also encouraged to find out which is their nearest cave rescue team and to make themselves known to members of that team to learn more about rescue training that builds upon their core caving skills.
- That BCRC represents cave rescue nationally, especially with outside organisations and authorities that can affect how cave rescue is practised.
