Larkin Frame Training (9th July)

posted in: Training | 0

There are still a few places left on the second Larkin frame training day on 9th July at the GCRG Depot, Cinderford. The instructors you will have are Bill Batson and Paul Witheridge from Lyon, both cavers and experts in their field.

The training will focus on rigging the Larkin Frame and is intended to complete BCRC’s Larkin Frame project. The use of ID’s, Rigs, pulleys, Grillons, etc., and ground anchor systems will be included so you will be able to make informed decisions following the course on extra equipment or alternative techniques. If your team has a Larkin Frame, please bring your team’s hardware/ground anchor system with you.

This course has received a UKSAR grant. Delegates can claim mileage at 25p/mile and accomodation up to £40. Refreshments will be provided on the day.

Please contact your team rep or secretary to book your place and make bookings via Dany Bradshaw chair@caverescue.org.uk

First Course

Feedback from the first training course held in Derbyshire in May was extremely positive.

Thank you to the team members who have donated their expenses to their teams and to the teams who have made donations to BCRC for the first course.

Thanks to Paul Taylor, GCRG Chair, for sorting the venue out for the second training session.
